Aaron Rookus (1983) graduated with honours in 2008 as a Bachelor of Design and as a European Master of Media and Arts (EMMA) at the Utrecht school of Arts. His graduation film ‘I Wish I Could Share The Happiness Of Being Alone With Someone Else’ won several awards.
in 2009 he directed several music video’s and developed some short filmprojects and studied film theory at the university of Amsterdam. In 2010 he was selected for the international, mediadesk sponsored programme Engage for feature film development. In 2012 he was selected as a talent at the Berlinale Talent Campus. His short debut ‘Wednesdays’ was released in 2012 and has won several awards.
Meanwhile he continues to write and direct filmprojects.
